Privacy at Klein's Carpet Cleaning

Klein's Carpet Cleaning is a small carpet cleaning company in Waterdown, Ontario. This page says plainly what the website collects, where it goes, and how to have it corrected or deleted. It was written by the people who built the site, from the site's own code. Canada's private-sector privacy law is PIPEDA, which the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada explains, and it is the standard this page is written to.

What does the quote form collect?

Only what you type into it. You need to give a name and one way to reach you, a phone number or an email address. Everything else is optional and is there so the first reply can be a real answer.

Each form also has a hidden field a person never sees. It exists to catch spam robots, and whatever lands in it is thrown away.

Where does a quote request go?

It is emailed, and that is all. The website sends it through Microsoft's Azure Communication Services, from an address Blue Crane Works runs for that purpose, to Klein's inbox at [email protected], with a copy to Blue Crane Works so a request is never lost if something goes wrong with the form. If you gave an email address, Klein's reply goes straight back to you. The website itself does not keep a copy in any database.

Your details are not sold, rented, traded or given to suppliers, marketers or anyone outside Klein's and the people who run this site for it.

What do the analytics record?

Two tools, and no advertising networks or social media pixels. The site's security policy blocks any outside script that is not named here.

Blue Crane's own counter at metrics.bluecraneworks.ca, run by the people who built and look after this site. It records the page viewed, how long it was actively open, and how far it was scrolled.
Microsoft Clarity records how a page gets used, as heatmaps and session replays: pointer movement, clicks and scrolling, so the parts that confuse people can be found and fixed. Anything you type into a box, and anything you pick from a menu, is hidden from it and never sent. Microsoft's own words: "Content in the input boxes is masked in all modes and can't be customized. The drop-down menus are also masked in all modes" (Clarity masking, read 5 October 2026). That applies to every site using Clarity and cannot be switched off. When we checked this site in a browser on 5 October 2026, from Ontario, Clarity stored no cookies and nothing else in the browser while it recorded.

What does the web host see?

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it sees the address your device connects from and the pages requested. Those logs are not used to identify anyone.

How long is it kept, and how do I have it removed?

A quote request is kept for as long as it is useful for the job it is about: quoting it, booking it and doing it. There is no reason to keep one that never became a job.
