Are Hamilton's stair runners cleaned differently?

What about carpet in a finished basement?
Basements are where drying matters most, because the air is cooler and moves less. Running a dehumidifier or the furnace fan after cleaning helps a lot. Health Canada's target for indoor humidity is between 30% and 50%, and a basement that sits above it will dry slowly and invite mould.
